Eric Scherer
Officer Eric Scherer is an Annville-Cleona High School class of 2011 graduate. After high school, he attended Thiel College from 2011 to 2012 and Mansfield University of Pennsylvania from 2012 to 2016, where he competed in Cross Country and Track & Field. In 2019, he enrolled at HACC and graduated with an associate’s degree in building construction management. He later enrolled in the HACC Police Academy and graduated with the 127th Police Academy in December of 2025. Since May 2026, Officer Scherer has been employed by the Hummelstown Police Department. Before joining the Hummelstown Police Department, he was a Police Officer for the Lower Paxton Township Police Department. Officer Scherer is an avid long-distance runner and competes in Ultra Trail Races. When not at work, Officer Scherer enjoys spending time with his wife, two cats, family and friends.
