Sanitary Sewer Cleaning & Inspections

The Borough of Hummelstown, in coordination with DTMA, will be conducting routine sanitary sewer cleaning and inspections. Work is scheduled to begin in early April and will continue over the next several months.

This work is not expected to impact your service; however, in some cases, the cleaning process may cause water to be drawn from sewer traps within your home. If you notice a sewer odor, we recommend running water in all fixtures for a few minutes to help refill the traps.

Work will generally take place between the hours of 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM on scheduled workdays.
