Final Storm Recovery Update
Final Storm Recovery Update:
•Due to the significant number of fallen trees and excess brush caused by the storm, the Public Works Department spent approximately two weeks providing extended chipping services. Chipping requests submitted on or after Tuesday, July 14, 2026, will return to the Borough's regular schedule. The next scheduled chipping service is Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
•North Hanover Street Underpass has reopened to all traffic. Thank you to our partners at PennDOT for their hard work and dedication to restoring access as quickly as possible.
• Excess storm-related trash has been collected through the additional dumpster provided at the Public Works BUILDING. Thank you to our partners at Republic Services for helping support our residents during the cleanup effort.
•Power has been restored throughout the Borough, and utility service has returned to normal.
•As a result of the recent weather, several new sinkholes have developed. The Public Works Department will continue addressing these locations.
Over the past several weeks, our community has demonstrated tremendous resilience and cooperation. We extend our sincere gratitude to our Public Works Department, Police Department, Emergency Management Agency, Fire Department, PennDOT, Republic Services, utility crews, our many community partners, and, most importantly, our residents for their patience, understanding, and support throughout the recovery process
