Police Officer Application - Full-Time/Part-time
Police Officer Minimum Requirements
The Borough of Hummelstown is hiring a full-time police officer. Applications are being accepted until Monday, April 13th, by the close of business. Completed applications and the $35.00 fee may be submitted to the Borough office Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
- At least 21 years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Act 120 Certified upon date of hire
- NO disqualifying criminal convictions (misdemeanour 2 or higher)
- Written and Oral examination
- Physical examination
- Drug test
- Vision test
- Hearing exam
- Psychological examination (MMPI-2, MMPI-2RF, and MMPI-3 are all acceptable)
- Physical Fitness Examination
- PA Motor Vehicle Operator's License
Written and Physical Fitness exams will be held on Wednesday, April 15th, at 6:00 pm or Saturday, April 18th, at 10:00 am.
Those who pass the written and physical fitness examination will then conduct an oral examination on Wednesday, April 22nd, starting at 6:00 pm. The top 3 candidates will be presented to the Borough Council for selection.
